Nikwax Rain Repellant for Fabrics

The RBB: Biking Rain Gear

Posted on May 1, 2022September 20, 2022 By Rob Adlers

In a previous post, I mentioned having proper rain gear when commuting to work . I have two jackets that have partially met my requirements. One is a Canada Coastguard jacket I received from my father in law, and the other is a Mark’s Work Wearhouse “drizzle” capable jacket. Anything more than drizzle, right through. Over time, both have become useless in the rain, so I looked into how to refresh 9r improve that capability.

MEC has a product called NIKWAX that I’m trying out today. Since I’m commuting to work in the rain tomorrow, that’ll be a good test. I picked up their Tech Wash and the TX.Firect Wash-In products.

I will follow up with everyone after it’s put to the test tomorrow.
